Feast – Far-Flung Flavours

T

Fest again this year and will be offering a tasty selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes inspired by flavours from afar.

West Malvern’s very own Feast – Far Flung Flavours is looking forward to being at West Fest again this year and will be offering a tasty selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes inspired by flavours from afar.

Carol set up Feast at short notice to fill a gap on the catering front for last year’s West Fest. Feast has grown a little, putting on themed Supper Clubs in the village hall, a Middle Eastern menu for St James School Feast Fest, supplying cake to small businesses and selections of dishes for private functions.

Come along and sample foods inspired by worldwide flavours. Wether you fancy a gently spiced Cambodian curry, a tangy Middle Eastern flatbread or spicy Mexican nachos there will be something to tempt your tastebuds.

Feast will also be providing homemade cakes, teas and filter coffee for our volunteer run refreshment stall. Some of last years favourites including Vegan Chocolate Cake and Syrian Turmeric Cake (gluten free) will be making an appearance along with homemade scones with homemade jam and clotted cream.

Jo’s Quesadillas

This year Jo forgoes her wonderful tarts to delight the West Malvern crowds with Quesadillas – “a Mexican dish and type of taco, consisting of a tortilla that is filled primarily with cheese, and sometimes meats, beans, vegetables, and spices, and then cooked on a griddle.

The Burger Van

If there is a field in England that is forever West Fest then in one corner of that field is the doughty and dependable Burger Van. Of course there will be chips.

Hippy Whippy Ice Cream

Less good if it’s nippy and a liability when slippy but when the sun shines its trippy to put on your lippy and sample Hippy Whippy

Rotary Sausage Sizzle

The sausages may well be revolving but the circular motion inferred in the title alludes to the wonderful people from Colwall Rotary who delight with a range of tasty comestibles.
